After years, literally years, of rumours, Canon announced its first mirror-less camera. It's the EOS M, and I reckon it's a 650D without a mirror. Sony announced a new 55-300mm lens and Fujifim is trying to win back a fled compact camera market with gimmicks. They need to concentrate on the market that wants a compact camera, not the market that doesn't.

If you didn't see the Olympic opening ceremony, go find it on the Intergoogles and watch it. Seriously. Do. It was all manner of awesome.
