So I will admit that I do not have school aged children and actually have no clue as to when March Break is. I do know that no matter when it is we will likely be spending it indoors like many other Canadian families. Brrr! Polar Vortex! This winter has just been way too cold and way too longer, even by Canadian standards.
One of my favourite ways to spend time together as a family and relax is to sit down and watch a movie together. A fun and cozy idea for Canadian families needing a bit of a break this March break is to grab some snacks, get under some blankets and have a little Film Fest with Netflix.
Speaking of snacks, another great way to have some family time is to bake together! These White Chocolate Chunk Cookies are a great way to bake together and will give you a super yummy treat to have while watching some great flicks. Your kids will have a great time measuring, stirring and maybe even testing out the dough for themselves when Mom isn’t looking.
Netflix has a ton of kids titles available to watch. Personally, I can’t wait to sit down and watch Turbo with Keira! Here are some ideas for your own Film Fest:
For Little Kids:
Turbo
Princess Lillifee and the Little Unicorn
My Friend Bernard
Moonbeam Bear and His Friends
Happy Feet Two
The Voyages of Young Dr. Doolittle
Thomas & Friends: Creaky Cranky
Dora The Explorer: Star Catcher
For Big Kids:
Akeelah and the Bee
Gulliver’s Travels
The Croods
Antz
Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events
Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer
Hugo
National Treasure
Netflix is great for busy family like ours. It allows us to watch what we want, anytime, and anywhere. Create your own, customized, Family Film Fest wherever you are this March Break!
