After completing clean sweep of the south with it’s hugely successful launches in Hyderabad, Bengaluru and most recently Kochi. South India’s largest lifestyle magazine RITZ is all set to launch the online Business vertical next month. This will be followed by both national and international launches. RITZ is the only magazine to host large scale events across South India.

Having pioneered some of the most glamorous, exclusive and well-attended lifestyle events, parties and award ceremonies in the past, the Jaguar RITZ Entrepreneurship Summit is the first business conclave that RITZ has hosted. It is a precursor to the national and international launch of RITZ Business, the online business media venture from RITZ.
The chief guest for the evening was Mr C.V. Sankar, IAS belonging o the 1982 batch of the Indian Administrative Service. He is at present Additional Chief Secretary to Government, Industries Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
The panelists of the first entrepreneurship summit were Mithun Sacheti who arguably one of the best known young businessmen in the country today and the founder of Caratlane.com; N. Chandran of Eastman Exports Global Clothing, who is considered one of the pioneers of export. Today Eastman Exports generates revenues of more than 1500 crores. Girish Mathrubootham the founder and CEO of Freshdesk, a global leader in customer support software. Delhi-based designers and sisters Kaabia and Sasha Grewal, the brains behind the very popular Outhouse Jewellery. Hrishikesh Datar the founder of vakilsearch.com, India’s largest professional service platform. Hrishikesh is the son of Mr Arvind Datar one of the most successful, eminent and respected advocates in the country. Jayendra Panchapakesan, Co-founder and Board Member of Real Image Media Technologies, which has revolutionised the feature film industry in India time and again.
The discussion was moderated by Mr Chandu Nair who is an experienced professional and entrepreneur with a background in industry, consultancy, media and information services. He was a co-founder of Scope e-Knowledge Center, a pioneering knowledge process outsourcing company that scaled up to a 1000+ people before his exit in late 2011.
The discussion dealt with the Hits and Misses of Entrepreneurship with each of the panelists narrating personal experiences and stories about their journey so far and the future of their enterprises keeping in mind sustainability and profitability in each of their relevant market spaces.
The summit which was held on March 21 at the ITC Grand Chola in Chennai was attended by the who’s who of the business and entrepreneurial sphere in the city.
The summit closed with the unveiling of the cover of RITZ’s April 2016 issue that features Anusha Ravi who wears many hats. She is the CEO of the Park Group of Institutions in Coimbatore and Chennai. Industrialist Sriya Chari who was the President of the Overseas Operation of Rajsriya group of companies and currently runs the Rajsriya group of companies. And Rinku Mecheri the Founder of Chennai Volunteers, a non-profit initiative. She is also a Trustee of Mecheri Foundation & Bhoomika Trust. The event also saw the unveiling of the Jaguar XE.
