The other day my male offspring (he of the secret Tumblr URL) asked each of us at dinnertime: what’s your favorite animated film? I said I needed time to think.
I was pretty sure it was going to be a Disney movie. But I was surprised that when I was honest with myself, it wasn’t Beauty and the Beast or The Lion King or Pocahontas, though on a different day it might have been any of those, especially Pocahontas, which didn’t suffer from the burden of my going into it already having been told how wonderful it was.
It was Tangled.
