Burntwood Town earned a share of the spoils as they took part in a six-goal thriller at Inkberrow.

Dean Williams put Town ahead after 16 minutes before Jake Fogarty kept his side in front with a penalty save ten minutes later.

But the Burntwood keeper could do nothing to prevent an equaliser on the stroke of half-time.

The second half didn’t go to plan for Mike Gentles’ men as they twice conceded to find themselves 3-1 down.

But Williams doubled his account to throw his side a lifeline before Josh Haston netted on 72 minutes to earn Burntwood a hard-fought point.

Town will look to build on their positive opening to the Midland Combination Division Two when they travel to Austrey Rangers tomorrow (August 13).
