On Tuesday, during an interview with the right-wing propaganda outlet Daily Caller, Trump made some wild claims. Specifically, the President says he has pictures of Robert Mueller and James Comey ‘kissing and hugging.’
“He’s Comey’s best friend,” said Trump while talking about Mueller. “And I could give you 100 pictures of him and Comey hugging and kissing each other. You know, he’s Comey’s best friend.”
The White House has yet to clarify exactly what Trump meant by this assertion.
A spokesman for Robert Mueller is also declining to comment.
After the “kissing” comments, Trump went on his normal rants about how the investigation is illegitimate.

“You know I call them the 17 angry Democrats,” Trump described Mueller’s team. This is in spite of Mueller being a lifelong Republican. “Honestly, people are very angry about it. People that love our country are very angry about it. So, I consider it to be an illegal investigation. It should’ve never been allowed to have happened.”
Trump also talked about supposed past conflicts with Mueller. He claimed that Mueller is upset because he was interviewed for the FBI director position but wasn’t chosen. Trump said he didn’t choose him because of previous business issues with Mueller.
Trump: There were, I mean tremendous conflicts here, you know the conflicts, you’ve heard the conflicts.”
The Daily Caller: “Speaking of one which you cited, I’d like to know, you said you interviewed Mueller for FBI director.”
Trump: “Sitting right in that chair.”
The Daily Caller: “What did you think during the interview?”
Trump: “I liked him, but I didn’t give him the job?”
The Daily Caller: “Why?”
Trump: “But I had a business dispute with Mueller before that. I had a real business dispute.
The business dispute was where Mueller allegedly asked a Trump golf club for a refund on dues but the club never answered.
