1999 Subaru Legacy Wagon Brighton AWD

Just picked up this car today - one little quirk about it.
The first time I went to check it out and test drive it everything was good and I told the guy I had to sell my jeep first then I would like to get it. He calls me up 2 days later saying the CEL came on so hes taking it in. Changed the o2 sensor and TPS. Light went off, but came back again the next day. The code is po170, and I did do a search on it - not just here, but all over the web.
Seems a bit weird cause the car is so clean and runs like a champ. Like I said, o2 sensor and tps changed days ago. My friend did a checkup on it today and fuel pump looks new, MAF is pristine, checked for leaks in airbox and vac lines, no exhaust leaks. I mean this is a solid car and is running great without any symptoms ive been reading about over the past week. Yet the CEL wont go off lol.
Im taking it to the guys shop that my friend works with to do some fluid changes soon and get it up on the lift and inspect it a little more.
But really, any ideas? Like I said Ive read up and down the web and I know its a tricky one and some people spend months trying to figure it out. My buddy even called one of his subaru guys back in KY and told him all about it and all the guy said was "Ohhh 170 - just clear it and drive it!!" lol.
