This year marks the 16th anniversary of Ágætis byrjun, the seminal sophomore album by Sigur Rós. This summer, the Icelandic outfit will reissue the LP as a deluxe limited edition box set.

According to a post on the group’s website, the reissue will feature “previously unheard studio recordings and rare live versions from this pivotal period in the band’s development,” as well as “a welter of photographic and documentary material from their personal archives.” Sigur Rós further describe the deluxe collection as “a beautiful thing to behold” and “the last word in completist editions of sigur rós catalogue releases.”

Though an official release date hasn’t been set, you can sign up to receive updates here. Below, watch a preview video and check out the box set’s artwork.
