Hello. I’m Joanna from Design Shuffle, a wonderful website and blog dedicated to interior designer portfolios and interior design ideas for design enthusiasts. I’m honored to be a guest on the lovely Le Chateau de Fleurs blog. Today, I’m sharing some charming French country spaces which will hopefully inspire you in your own decorating pursuits. Enjoy!

Distressed woodwork, subdued hues and ruffles are all common in French country style. This living room mixes period style furnishings such as the ornate arm chairs and rustic secretary.

Pops of red give a vibrancy to this living room’s muted palette. All of the furnishings in this space are quite decorative such as the ornately carved settee and daintily painted plates.

Layers of pattern are another common element in French country style. This charming dining room features checks and florals along with a patterned rug. The hot air balloon chandelier is lovely. Lots of French country living room decorating ideas can be found in this space.

A linen covered chaise with layers of pattern sits invitingly next to a rustic armoire. Period portraits hang above.

This is a modern take on the French country look with its brilliant pink walls and marble tiles floors. A Venetian mirror is flanked by two grey cabinets. The rug mimics the diamond detailing in the tile.

Muted green covers the cabinetry of this French country kitchen. Toile patterned panels hang at the windows flanking the stove surround. Pretty red upholstered bar stools pick up the red of the window treatments.

An antique red cabinet is the focal point of this lovely bathroom. The mix between red and pink is a lovely. This space inspires lots of decorating ideas.

A whimsical toile in pale yellow covers an ornately carved chair in a feminine bedroom. The white painted floorboards add a touch of country to the space.
