Newark Location to be Official Away Game Headquarters, Post-Game Party Hub for Seton Hall Men’s Basketball

SOUTH ORANGE, NJ. – Seton Hall University Athletics and Dinosaur Bar-B-Que are proud to introduce a multi-year partnership as announced today by Seton Hall Sports Properties, the Pirates’ exclusive multimedia rightsholder.

Dinosaur Bar-B-Que’s Newark location at 224 Market Street becomes the Pirates’ first-ever “Official Barbeque of Seton Hall Athletics” and will offer a 10 percent discount every day of the week to Seton Hall University and Seton Hall Law School students and faculty who show their valid ID.

Additionally, Dinosaur Bar-B-Que will serve as the “Official Away Game Headquarters” for men’s basketball in which fans are encouraged to watch all away games while enjoying special Pirate-themed dishes and drinks. Beginning Saturday, Feb. 18, following the game against Villanova, Seton Hall fans will want to head to the Newark location for the first post-game party – featuring Pirate discounts and special menu items, as well as a chance to meet Seton Hall men’s basketball alumni. Select post-game parties will be held throughout the season at Dinosaur Bar-B-Que, with the next host date yet to be announced.

“Dinosaur Bar-B-Que is excited to be teaming up with Seton Hall Athletics as their official Bar-B-Que!” said Nick Sarantidis, managing partner for Dinosaur Bar-B-Que. “Our fresh, homemade and high quality food will fuel up students, fans and alumni to cheer the Pirates to victory.”

Dinosaur Bar-B-Que will receive additional corporate partner benefits as part of its relationship, including a dominant brand presence across arena signage and visibility through SHUPirates.com.

“We’re always looking for great connections for our fan base, and we appreciate Dinosaur Bar-B-Que stepping up and not only becoming a corporate partner of Seton Hall Athletics, but introducing their Newark location as host to Seton Hall post-game parties and away game watch headquarters. What a great way to kick this off, after the game against Villanova on February 18, and we invite everyone to come out,” said Andrew Papaefthemiou, general manager for Learfield’s Seton Hall Sports Properties.
