The Star Ferry – you ride the Star Ferry from Central to Tsim Sha Tsui. This is the cheapest way to see the Victoria Harbor. You can go back and forth from side to side to view the harbor from both sides. During the night upper deck is preferable because you can see all the light more clearly.
From the Avenue of Stars Promenade – This is located in the opposite side Tsim Sha Tsui. It is a good place to see the view of the Victoria Harbor in the Hong Kong side, also called the million dollar view. In the night you can also watch the “A Symphony of Lights” here which is thenightly show starts at 8:00 pm.
Peng Chau Island is much smaller Island and you have to go around by foot to see the whole area. With these three Islands I prefer to Cheung Chau Island.

Cheung Chau Island is a small island much further away but the restaurants there are much cheaper than in Lamma. It is more like of a vacation Island and there is the Warwick Hotel in this Island. It is a narrow island that you can walk for a few minutes from one side to the other side which is both sea shores. There are no cars around so all you have to do is walk around the area. You will see many small boats along the shore. This is a good place to go to relax after a long week work. I love Cheung Chau Island and I love their fresh seafood and cheaper price.
Wanchai area has many bars and entertainments but in the opposite side of the street are wet markets where you can buy Chinese foods such as dried mushrooms, dried fish, fresh vegetable, meats, fresh fish and lots of small restaurant. You will also find some small Dim Sun restaurant which are much cheaper than other bigger Dim Sun restaurant.

Crazy Galleon – Don’t be fooled by the simplicity of the boat (like it’s just a boat) this is really a crazy galleon that almost made my heart stopped. Of all the rides here in Ocean Park I choose the crazy galleon because I thought “it looks harmless, it’s just a boat.” But on the first swing I thought my heart fall off as it swing from one side to the other and every time it stops for a second before swinging back to the other side I desperately catch my breath so as to survive for another second. The swinging back and forth of the galleon tortured me but that was just my experience.
Like the Peak Tram, this is not for those who are afraid of heights, but to those who are not, then be prepared for this beautiful cable car ride towards the Giant Buddha. During this ride, you will get fabulous 360-degree views of Hong Kong’s rugged terrain and the sea. The wonderful sight of the fertile valley below is truly something.
