LDA Design has further strengthened its team with the appointment of Jon Alsop, who has joined the practice’s Oxford office as Director.

Jon is an urban designer and chartered town planner with over 25 years’ experience in the private and public sector, including work with major multi-disciplinary practices and local authorities. At LDA Design he will be responsible for managing a growing portfolio of energy and infrastructure projects and providing support to the practice’s development and regeneration team.

Jon has joined from Golder Associates where he led a wide range of projects including major urban sites, new communities, commercial, industrial, infrastructure, retail and educational developments. His strengths also lie in environmental planning; including work within AONB’s and Green Belt sites, as well as proposals within sensitive historic environments.

Jon has also managed the delivery of major regeneration and infrastructure schemes, including The Avenue Coking Works, Thames Tunnel, rail, waterway restoration, EfW and minerals. This background has given Jon substantial experience of the project processes and the importance of urban design in delivering successful and sustainable places

Alister Kratt, Partner at LDA Design’s Oxford office, said:

“We are delighted that Jon has joined the LDA Design team. He will further strengthen our infrastructure and development capability and assist our clients in the delivery of projects from feasibility stage, to delivery through the planning system”.
