From the Editor

It’s impossible to remember Lou Reed without invoking his mantra, “Take a walk on the wild side.” Whether that involves pushing ourselves to life’s extremes, or merely meditating on the wild expanse of the energetic universe, as people we are explorers.

One of the ways in which we explore is through our practice. One method for deepening this is by enrolling in a teacher training program. The study of philosophy, the breakdown of poses and technique, the commitment and connection to the breath, it all propels us forward on the path even if the only teaching we plan to do is at home in front of our cats and dogs, or simply through the example of how we strive to lead our everyday lives.

We’re gearing up for our December/January issue, which will provide a listing of many teacher training programs in Southern California. If you run a program, or know someone who does, please make sure to fill out the survey here by Friday, October 31 at 5:00 PM Pacific Time. Please connect with us if you have any questions.

Remember—this weekend our relationship with time changes as we adjust our clocks—or as the time on our cell phones and computers automatically changes. No matter the time, stay wild.

Explore well,

Felicia Marie Tomasko, RN
