California plans to parole cop killer Jesus Cecena.

Cecena murdered Officer Archie Buggs of the San Diego Police Department in 1978. Buggs was shot and killed after he made a traffic stop on two gang members for speeding. When Buggs approached the automobile, Cecena exited the vehicle, shot him six times, and left him lying in the road where he was discovered by another officer, according to the Officer Down Memorial Page (ODMP).

Officer Buggs, a Vietnam Veteran, was just 30 years old and had served the San Diego Police Department for four years at the time of his murder.

Cecena was granted parole. However, this inmate’s violent behavior should preclude any consideration for freedom.

If you are a concerned citizen and would like to make your dissent known to California Governor Jerry Brown, visit the ODMP website for a sample letter ready for your signature.
