White Chocolate Ice Cream Sundae

with Summer Berries & Fudge Sauce

Who doesn’t love a cool ice cream sundae when it’s hot and sticky?! So, when MÖVENPICK asked me and fourteen other food bloggers to create a new ice cream sundae using their delectable ice cream I was very keen to oblige! We were all sent some ice cream sundae glasses and spoons, as well as a £75 supermarket voucher to purchase our ice cream sundae fixings. It’s hard to decide what makes a good ice cream sundae, but for me, it has to incorporate seasonal fruit and as I am rather partial to summer berries, especially strawberries and raspberries, ao my ice cream sundae was built around summer berries as well as chocolate and fudge sauce!

White Chocolate Ice Cream Sundae with Summer Berrires & Fudge Sauce

My recipe is simple, it’s basically swathes of divine Mövenpick white chocolate ice cream with layers of rich fudge sauce, strawberries and raspberries, and  I can announce that all who ate it were totally captivated by the combination, especially the little pieces of white chocolate in the ice cream! There was no need for any other ingredients, after all, why over-gild the lily, and the luxurious Mövenpick white chocolate ice cream sang like a diva in an opera! I LOVE Mövenpick ice cream and remember enjoying it when I lived in Germany in the 70′s and later on in the 80′s –  the quality is unsurpassed with amazing flavours such as: Banana, Blackcurrant & Cream, Cappuccino, Caramelita, Cinnamon, Coconut & Swiss Chocolate, Crème Brûlée, Double Cream & Meringue Espresso, Croquant Fior di Latte, Hazelnut,  Macadamia Dulce de Leche, Mango & Cream and Maple Walnut.

White Chocolate Ice Cream Sundae with Summer Berries & Fudge Sauce

This recipe for White Chocolate Ice Cream Sundae with Summer Berries & Fudge Sauce is my simple and yet elegant entry into Mövenpick Ice Cream Blogger competition, where the winner of the best ice cream sundae wins an exclusive two-hour master class with The Langham’s Head Pastry Chef, Cherish Finden, followed by Afternoon Tea at The Palm Court, The Langham, London for themselves and one guest. Whether I win or not, as I am up against some stiff competition, it’s been a real treat to indulge in some of this delectable ice cream as well as create something that made so many of my daughter’s flatmates happy, as well as her! See you over the weekend with a new 5:2 diet recipe, a giveaway and a new cocktail recipe too! Have a great weekend, Karen
