….I just officially coined that term.

If you’ve heard it before…then…well….just pretend I said it first.

My brother got engaged back in February and over the weekend we attended their engagement party.

My future sister in law has been planning this with the help of her family and a little inspiration from pinterest {I wish it was around when I was engaged!}. I was absolutely blown away by all of the details. They did such an amazing job! When Meagan described her “vision” to me, it sounded wonderful, but it all came together even more beautiful than I imagined. She wanted a rustic setting with a lot of home made decorations.

Meagan’s family made all of the food. And all of the small details were put together with care.

Everything was wonderful.

The Greek salad on the right below was one of my contributions. I used all organic and local produce {it was made up of cucumbers, tomatoes, kalamata olive, red onion and full-fat organic Vermont feta cheese}. It was amazing! Michael said it was the best feta he’s ever had in his life…and that’s saying a lot– he’s a “cheese connoisseur”. {The dressing was a simple mix of 1/4 cup olive oil, 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar, juice from one small lemon, salt, pepper and a teaspoon of hand crushed oregano.}

I loved how they used chalk boards to label everything. You can tell they had it all planned out to the last detail!

My second favorite part was the drink stations and the mason jars people were drinking out of!

How adorable are these wine bottles??

Meg’s sister made pretty much all of the desserts. I know how much work this is…not easy! But well worth it because it was all beautiful!

I made decedent chocolate mousse in the chocolate hazelnut crust (but I mixed it with raw almonds and it turned out fantastic!)

Ready for my favorite part…

This was such a great idea [of the brides!]

They hired a caricature artist!

She was really good and really fast!

Pretty good, eh? {It was a scorcher; you can tell because my hair is curling a little. I don’t have curly hair in the slightest. Even when I try to curl my hair it goes flat within an hour}

The favors were home made bird feeders! How adorable???

Ella had an absolute ball by the way!

She loves her uncles…

and of course, her aunt who is just like a big giant kid…

and her soon-to-be aunt!

what a lucky little girl!

I have never been to a more beautiful engagement party. You can tell how much love went into the planning, which made it even more special.

Many congratulations to an amazing couple! <3
