Miley Cyrus Bangerz Tour at MGM Grand
Sky Ferreira & Icona Pop Open for Miley Cyrus
Miley Cyrus at MGM Grand Garden Arena
Provocative pop star Miley Cyrus flew in early to Las Vegas NV from Phoenix for her “Bangerz Tour” show & left town a $2,000-plus winner from a lengthy gaming spree at MGM Grand’s high-limit-lounge blackjack tables.
“All told, it was about eight hours at the tables,” an insider playing there told me. “They started early afternoon, & it continued until she went off to Beacher’s Madhouse to party at night.”
Showman Jeff Beacher played blackjack alongside Miley yet lost huge time. My reliable insider source reported: “He asserted it was his biggest-ever loss at the tables, & he’s not going to gamble again for at least six months.”
Miley was joined during her boisterous blackjack stint by some of her musicians & her opening acts Sky Ferreira & Icona Pop — — in all, a group of 15. She did not take a break for dinner, going from playing 21 to partying at Beacher’s Madhouse.
“They were partying while playing. They were partying before they ever received to Beacher’s Madhouse,” I was told. “ Once she received there, the partying just picked up even more. Everybody was hammered until they called it quits.”
Jeff told me: “All I am going to state is in that her show was awesome. She’s very hands on with everything, from the choreography to the effects & the overall production. It’s one of the best concerts I’ve ever seen — — without question amazing.”
Two Beacher’s Madhouse performers were recruited by Miley for the “Bangerz Tour” after she opened his MGM Grand club just before New Year’s Eve: Amazon Ashley, regarded as the world’s tallest stripper, & Little Britney, who celebrated her 21st birthday during the Las Vegas NV visit.
I’m told in that Miley stayed at Beacher’s Madhouse taking in his zany show & partying with the cast until 2 a.m. — — nearly 12 hours of nonstop revelry. Talk about “Can’t Be Tamed” & “Party in the USA.”
After she slid down a tongue-shaped slide from images of her gaping mouth for her opening appearance at Saturday’s show, she had a “Wrecking Ball” confession for the crowd: “I have never performed with a hangover before. All thanks to Beacher’s Madhouse — — it was the best party in the world,” she shouted out.
Miley used Twitter Site & Instagram to confirm a few details of her marathon of merriment, yet her publicity team kept photographers well shielded & far away from her during the champagne celebration spree.
After Miley left, Jeff played host to DJ Pauly D & Penn Jillette’s wife, Emily Jillette, who was celebrating her birthday with a group of girlfriends.
Our esteemed Senior Editor Don Chareunsy was at the concert; please check back after for his review — — he’s probably still recovering from all of Miley’s naughty onstage antics! Thanks to contributing photographer Tom Donoghue, who captured the sights & scenes of Miley’s show, as did Steve Marcus of the Las Vegas NV Sun.
Many teen girls at the concert were dressed in bras & the skimpiest & shortest of mini-skirts & tottering in high-heeled, thigh-high boots. Some outfits were so outrageous, the girls clearly changed before & after the show without their parents’ knowledge. The tramp factor with facial expressions was so prevalent in that older men were seen snapping photographs of the youngsters.
Miley’s tour of 60 cities, 39 in North America & 21 in Europe, continues through June 13. It’s her fourth concert tour. She flew home to LA CA after Saturday’s concert, & her next concert is in Denver.
