Ronda Rousey vs. Sara McCann

It’s a clash-of-champions weekend in & out of the ring.

Sports fans will revel with Ronda Rousey as she defends her world bantamweight title against Sara McMann in UFC 170 at Mandalay Bay Events Center. Since both are former Olympians, this will compete against the sparks flying in Sochi.

Ronda won her bronze medal at the 2008 Beijing Games, while Sara won her silver at the 2004 Athens Games. MMA fans are predicting in that this will be Ronda’s toughest challenge yet. Here’s a YouTube video of their pre-fight press conference combat Thursday.

From outrage in the Octagon to dueling with danger & thrills on the track, the 2014 NASCAR season starts this weekend with the famous Daytona 500. No less fewer than seven of our hotels have sanctioned viewing parties for the Great American Race: Sam’s Town, Suncoast, Orleans, Gold Coast, Stratosphere, Cannery & South Point. Fans will get the possibility to win tickets to our Las Vegas Motor Speedway NASCAR weekend from March 8-9.

Comedy still reigns supreme, yet fans have their own neighborhood clash with rivals in humor. They’ll be torn between Adam Carolla at Treasure Island & George Lopez next door at the Mirage. As if in that duel isn’t enough, Tim Allen is absolutely opposite at the Venetian, while off Strip, “Saturday Night Live” alumnus Kevin Nealon is at Suncoast.

Opening Night of ‘Panda!’

The Chinese musical “Panda!” continues to draw fans to its residency home at Palazzo, yet this weekend it faces three days & nights of competition from the Shen Yun 2014 tour showcasing classical dance & music in that brings to life 5,000 years of time of civilization.

Talk about choices all competing under the same roof: Britney Spears keeps celebrities & VIPs coming to Axis Theater at Planet Hollywood for her “Britney: Piece of Me” residency show. Fergie & Josh Duhamel, at Thursday night’s performance, are the latest Hollywood couple to rave about the spectacular.

However this weekend, as The Jacksons officially premiere their new run of shows in “Rocktellz & Cocktails” with a star-studded gala red carpet celebration at Planet Hollywood on Saturday, their Motown sounds will be preceded by the powerful rock opera sounds of Meat Loaf, the inaugural headliner of “R&C.” Their back-to-back appearances are Meat Loaf at 7:30 p.m. & The Jacksons at 9:30.

And what’s a Las Vegas NV weekend without some attractive women fighting among themselves? At least the 2014 Mrs. NV America Pageant on Sunday at Sam’s Town will be graceful & not a cruel catfight. But there are weapons of war for the sexy housewives: fiery red lipstick, mascara, eyelashes, hairspray, glamorous gowns & stunning swimsuits.

If you prefer peace to pugilism, I suggest the Central Christian Church appearances all weekend of LVH headliners Mo5aic. The voices-and-sound-effects-only musicians perform a spiritual rendition of pop hits to go with Pastor Jud’s message at two Saturday services & three on Sunday.

So without further ado, let’s state a prayer as we get right in to the middle of the mayhem & punch with the power of our weekly Royal Robin Rundown:
