“Extra” host & actor Mario Lopez celebrated his 40th birthday in style with a weekend at the Wynn & Encore with wife Courtney Mazza Lopez, who moreover was toasting her birthday. The weekend was the 1st major public appearance for the couple since the birth of their son Dominic last month.

The pair & a group of 10 friends received the party started Friday night watching “Le Reve — — The Dream” at the Wynn. After the performance, the handsome birthday hunk met the cast & posed for photographs.

Lopez & his party then dined at nearby Andrea’s in Encore, where they shared executive chef Joseph Elevado’s Asian fare, in addition to sushi & sashimi, specialty rolls, chili shrimp tempura, tuna tataki salad, New York strip steak, miso black cod & more. He enjoyed Sinatra Smash cocktails, while the missus sipped on bubbly.

After enjoying an ice cream flight & cake pops for dessert, the group made its way to the adjacent Surrender Nightclub at 11:30 p.m. Seated in the prime DJ table, the entourage enjoyed Veuve Clicquot & Makers Mark.

Surrender’s cocktail servers & go-go dancers presented Lopez, in town to announce the Timothy Bradley-Juan Manuel Marquez fight for HBO Boxing at MGM Grand Garden Arena on Saturday night, with a boxing-themed cake.

DJ Mighty Mi gave a shout-out to the birthday boy, & the group partied & danced in to the early hours to the sounds of DJ Deniz Koyu.

On Saturday night, the group dined at Botero, the steakhouse at Encore. They were seated on the patio & enjoyed executive chef Mark LoRusso’s steaks, Dover sole & short rib ravioli & shared several sides, in addition to chopped salad, baby beet salad, truffle mac & cheese & fries.

Post-Botero, Lopez & 15 friends gathered at XS to continue the weekend-long birthday celebration. At the stroke of midnight, it was officially Courtney’s 32nd birthday, & XS staff shortly after 1 a.m. presented her with her own parade of lights & confetti.

Grammy Award-winning DJ Afrojack took the stage for his set as the group danced & partied in to the early hours. Thanks to Erik Kabik of Retna for his photo gallery.
