LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

A piece of Las Vegas NV history is up for sale, & it’s a steal.

A mansion once owned by Liberace located near University of NV Las Vegas NV is listed at $529,000.

The star bought the - house back in the - 1970s. Neighbors asserted they remember seeing Liberace there in his heyday, dressed flamboyantly & surrounded by bodyguards.

Built in the - 1960s, the - nearly 15,000-square-foot mansion still includes much of Liberace’s personal flair, in addition to several rooms adorned with large piano key decorations.

Real estate expert Iddo Gavish of Gavish Real Estate asserted he has no idea why the - price is so low, yet in that condition & location could play a role.

“The property is just shy of half an acre. Two oversized bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, & they are asking $35 a square foot. You couldn’t build in that house for $35 a square foot,” Gavish said.

The house is bank-owned & went in to foreclosure in 2010. FOX-5 spotted several interested buyers on Tuesday, in addition to Las Vegas NV Strip headliner Holly Madison.

Neighbor Mark Lunn asserted he has fond memories of when Liberace lived at the - mansion.

“He was very personable. He never had a offensive word to state to anybody. He would get dressed in his costumes & drive straight to the - stage at the - Hilton,” he said.

The house sold for $3.7 million back in 2006. Gavish asserted the - current price will likely start a bidding war, resulting in the - home selling for much more than the - current asking price.
