Caribbean beaches with some of the best Caribbean hotels.
Pink Beach (Barbuda). This beach on the island of Barbuda is the wonder “pink” in the Caribbean. The entire west coast has, at times, sand shades of pink, but none equals this little wonder pink. Also known by the name of Eleven Mile Beach, the beach is distinguished from other Caribbean, often thin strips of sand between the vegetation and the sea, for the remarkable breadth, where it is amplified the feeling of being completely alone. How to get there? Sailboats sail every day from Antigua.
Seven Mile Beach (Grand Cayman). A ribbon of soft pristine beach, among the most beautiful in the world, has given notoriety in Grand Cayman, the largest and most populated island of the same name. Seven Mile, the Caribbean beach extends to just under 10 miles along the west coast of the island (north of George Town, the capital), including condominiums and upscale hotels. Stopping in a bar for a rum punch or other tropical cocktail is a must. You can sleep at The Reef Resort, with large rooms overlooking the beach and sea (in the East End of the Island), or at The Westin Casuarina Resort and Spa Grand Cayman, one of the best caribbean hotels, facing right on Seven Mile Beach and not far from Dolphin Cove.
Bayahibe (Dominican Republic). The white sandy beach of the small fishing village of Bayahibe is located within the National Park dell’Este: fine sand, crystal clear sea, palm trees bright green coexist harmoniously with small houses on the Caribbean. Not surprisingly, this part of the Dominican Republic is considered the most beautiful of the whole country. It can be reached in two hours by bus from Santo Domingo, and in an hour, dall’Altos de Chavón. To better enjoy the show you can stay at Catalonia Gran Dominicus, a prestigious resort, part of the best Caribbean hotels, overlooking the beach of Bayahibe and surrounded by a tropical garden. Not far away, for any excursions, also the only one of Saona and its colorful seabed, protected by beautiful coral reefs.
Seven Mile Beach (Jamaica). Queen of the western coastline of the island is the beach near Negril: 6 kilometers of fine sand (the name is misleading, as it is just over 4 miles) and, behind it, the Great Morass swamp, which extends for 16 km and is the second wetland ecosystem of Jamaica. Here are the American crocodile and the nature reserve of the Palma Real. The wetlands are now protected as they contribute to the cycle of growth and formation of coral beaches.
Anegada (British Virgin Islands). The beach that covers the entire circumference of the island of Anegada (11 miles), is one of the least known archipelago of the British Virgin Islands. To achieve Anegada, 15 kilometers from Virgin Gorda, you need a day of sailing on one of the sailboats that can be rented in the large surrounding islands.
Flamenco Beach (Puerto Rico). Vieques is definitely the island on the east coast of Puerto Rico’s best known and most frequented. But Spanish Virgin Island of Culebra is boasting the most beautiful beach: Flamenco Beach, a large almost perfectly symmetrical crescent of white sand, framing a blue bay of calm waters such as a swimming pool. To reach it you must take the boats that sail daily from the town of Fajardo (a little over an hour’s drive from the capital San Juan). Once on the island, just take a taxi and within minutes you will find yourself in paradise.
Grace Bay (Turks and Caicos). The whole north coast of Providenciales, the gateway to the archipelago of Turks and Caicos, is an immense beach with a gradient of colors ranging from indigo to turquoise. But the best is all within 20 miles of Grace Bay, where you give the conference diving enthusiasts: off 12 points reported offer swim between groupers, snappers and surgeonfish. Unforgettable holiday if you are staying at the Regent Palms Turks and Caicos, all-suite luxury resort with a private terrace, spa and garden.
So much more can be seen during Caribbean holidays as well. Nightlife and dancing is out of this world in the Caribbean and is sure to be a unique and exiting experience. Sailing, windsurfings and scuba-diving are some great ways to enjoy this incredibly exotic destination while you stay in some of the best Caribbean hotels.
