Con un conferencia de prensa lleno de estrella se dieron a conocer los finalistas para los Premios Billboard de la Música Latina 2016 en el Gibson Showroom en Miami. Este año, los finalistas más destacados, compitiendo en varias categorías, son Romeo Santos (12), Enrique Iglesias (11), Nicky Jam (11), J Balvin (8), Juan Gabriel (7), Maná (7), Ariel Camacho y Los Plebes del Rancho (7), Marc Anthony (6), Ricky Martin (6), Banda Sinaloense MS de Sergio Lizárraga (6) y Julión Álvarez y Su Norteño Banda (6). Además, se ha confirmado a la talentosa actriz, presentadora de televisión e influencer Gaby Espino y al reconocido cantante y actor mexicano Pedro Fernández como los anfitriones oficiales de la ceremonia; mientras que Nicky Jam y Banda Sinaloense MS de Sergio Lizárraga son los primeros artistas confirmados para presentarse en este especial musical de alta gama.
