Kickstarter has its fair share of failures and successes, and the Tubecore Duo should most likely be placed under successes. After successfully raising the funds needed to kick off the company, the Tubecore Duo will become a product in buyer’s possessions like few others.
So, what is it? It’s a mix of analog technology with that of a solid state amplifier and a dual vacuum tube preamp, coupled to a Raspberry Pi computer running XBMC media center. Basically, a speaker system and streaming media hub with options to connect over Bluetooth, WiFi, HDMI, and component AV — all of which can be controlled from an app, on your phone.
