April started with glorious weather for the Easter holidays. The cloud arrived mid month, just for a day or two and then the heat hit us, an orange alert of 37 degrees. Normal temperatures of mid 20’s returned before a bit of a cloudy finish to the month. It feels like it’s been windy for ages, looking back over the forecast it was generally 20 km/h but with some strong gusts reaching 60 km/h.

Not so this morning, our gorgeous blue sky is overcast and looks to remain that way for the majority of today. Warm at 23-25 degrees, the wind is due to change from the south to the north 5-20 km/h. UV Index 10.
2/4 A clear and sunny day for most areas of Lanzarote, Teguise & Haría have a little bit of cloud forecast. The wind is from the south west 5 - 20 km/h. A bit cooler with top temperatures ranging from 20-24 degrees. UV Index 10.
3/4 Windy with sunshine for Lanzarote today, there's a 2 day yellow alert in place for strong seas around the coast from 15:00 until Midnight on Friday. The wind is 30 - 35 km/h from the west with strong gusts up to 60 km/h. Expect a few cloudy intervals with a 5% chance of a shower. Top temperature 21 - 23 degrees. UV Index 10.

16/4 A murky start in most areas of Lanzarote, although the forecast for the resorts of Playa Blanca & Puerto del Carmen shows sunshine this morning, cloudy with 5% chance of rain this afternoon increasing to 20% during the evening. Blustery wind until midday with gusts up to 40 km/h settling into 20 km/h from the north in the afternoon and 15 km/h from north east overnight. 20 degrees. It's cloudy again tomorrow and then it's going to get hot and sunny right through the weekend from Thursday.
17/4 A cloudy day for Lanzarote, the east coast is showing some sunshine with a high layer of cloud for Arrecife & Puerto del Carmen. Wind 15-20 km/h from the north. 21 degrees.
18/4 Aemet have issued a pre alert for high temperatures in Lanzarote for tomorrow Friday 19th April (12:00 - 22:00), it's a yellow alert covering a temperature increase up to 34ºC.
19/4 The yellow alert remains in place for temperatures in Lanzarote expected to reach up to 34 degrees today, tomorrow it steps up a level to orange for an increase up to 37 degrees. It's a pre-alert for Saturday with a 40-70% chance of probability from 10:00 - 22:00.
20/4 Up to 37°C expected for Lanzarote today, and 34°C tomorrow, there's little or no wind from the east 0-10 km/h. It's the weekend, so enjoy the sunshine and drink plenty......of water!

29/4 A mixed forecast for Lanzarote today, sunshine and party cloudy for most of the island, clear and sunny in Yaiza (Playa Blanca). A strong wind, 20-30 km/h from the north / north east including gusts up to 50 km/h this morning, dropping to 35 km/h this evening. Top temperature 22 degrees.
30/4 The Aemet forecast shows sunshine with a few clouds for Lanzarote, others are less optimistic with more cloud than sun. Looking outside at the moment its grey with a hint of drizzle! Top temperatures from 20-23 degrees. The 50 km/h gusts of wind are due to drop around lunchtime, then 15-20 km/h from the north.
