Well I was sat reading the Daily Mail the other day when I stumbled across an article concurring my previous thoughts on Colour Healing – unfortunately Lanzarote was not mentioned on this occasion; but time will tell!
In my previous article I wrote about how Lanzarote’s colours inspire Reiki Healing. From the colours of the red and gold earth, the sun, through to the palm trees and the sky... So all you have to do is look! Using your vision to embrace the colours of the Lanzarote environment allows you to
rebalance your Chakras. It is as simple as that.
Sight is one of the main senses in our body, we use to not only to see but to judge our surroundings. We look at everything, but do we always see it? When we glance at objects we are not fully utilising our sense – we need to take in details. However in a busy environment our senses can become over-stimulated. The environment in Lanzarote relies on natural beauty; it keeps the buildings and the colours in line with ‘Mother Nature’ thus allowing our senses to be stimulated. By ‘seeing’ everything we are rebalancing our Chakras.

I have added how the colours found in Lanzarote relate to the Reiki Healing System.
Lanzarote – Related to the Sky
Crown Chakra: Unity, selflessness, knowing and understanding. Problems may show as lack of inspiration, confusion, migraines, tinnitus, hormonal imbalances etc.
3rd Eye Chakra: Intuition, imagination, perception and insight. Problems may show as lack of concentration, tension, headaches, eye strain, sty’s, etc.
Throat Chakra: Communication, truth, loyalty, gentleness. Problems may show as depression, silence, thyroid problems, difficulty swallowing, teeth grinding, jaw problems, tinnitus etc.
Lanzarote – Related to the Sand & Earth
Sacral Chakra: Creativity, harmony, pleasure, sexuality, and change. Problems may show as reproductive problems, jealousy, confusion, lack of libido, tiredness, PND, and depression.
Base Chakra: Physical vitality, life force, grounding, will to live. Problems may show as insecurity, stiffness, constipation, fear, anxiety, panic attacks, and phobias.
Lanzarote – Related to the Sky (sun sets) & Palms
Heart Chakra: Forgiveness, compassion, love, harmony and peace. Problems may show as lack of stability, repression, heart problems, repeated chest infection, breathing problems.
Lanzarote – Related to the Sun & Sand
Solar Plexus Chakra: Personal power, authority, laughter and warmth. Problems may show as anger, abuse of power, digestion problems, stomach aches, tightness in stomach, acid indigestion, food allergies and eating disorders.
What does that mean for you?
Well feelings of calm, peacefulness and a reduction of anxiety. If you suffer from insomnia then your sleep will be enhanced. Your breathing will become more natural and you find yourself taking deeper and more productive breaths rather than shallow chest breathing which can increase heart rate and stress. If you are prone to headaches, these should reduce and if you are someone that suffers from muscular aches and pains these will start to lessen allowing you to be able to enjoy longer walks and less muscle spasms. The powerful volcanic sands can help with eczema and psoriasis too, so it may well aid other skin conditions...
So if you are wondering how come you feel so much better when you are holidaying in Lanzarote or why you relocate there then this may be this answer to your question. Lanzarote is an Island of Natural Reiki.... Perhaps they will soon use that in their ‘Tag Line’.
