Join the 2nd Rare Cancers Challenge 2014 to climb Kosciuszko and support this unique fund raising event. You can climb all the way from the village or take the Chairlift and start the track from Eagles Nest. The Challenge will set off from Thredbo towards the summit of Mt Kosciuszko at 11 AM on Saturday, 1 March, 2014. The full distance from Thredbo to the Summit is 13.5 kms or for those less enthusiastic, starting at Eagles Nest at the top of chairlift and strolling to the summit is 6.5 kms.
Rare Cancers is committed to helping fund cancer research and cancer treatment. Proceeds from this walk will be shared between our PARC Research Project and our Cancer Treatment Program.
The longer climb will be over 1000m in vertical rise and a 27 kilometer round trip. An achievement to be proud of and one worth supporting. You can register for the event online here
