Quadra Solutions has been named as the sole UK provider of the Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Design Training Course, Certified Interconnect Designer (CID).

The qualification, accredited by the IPC, the association representing the global electronics industry, is to be delivered by Quadra’s highly skilled and experienced trainers at their specialist training facility in Lancashire. The training programme seeks to enhance and improve the skills of individuals operating within the electronic design industry.

The CID and CID+ professional development programmes provide delegates with the foundations of electronic design decision-making and the practical application of IPC standards for the design and manufacture of PCB.

The course not only covers the fundamentals of component placement and track routing, but also provides a wider understanding of all the various elements of PCB development, including design considerations, layout principles and component, assembly and manufacturability issues.

CID certification specifically caters to PCB design professionals who would benefit from the recognition of their skills, enhancement of their knowledge and confirmation that their designs comply with accepted international IPC standards.

Stephen Dobson, managing director at Quadra Solutions, said: “We are proud to be announced as a certified IPC Training Centre and to be at the forefront of enhancing and improving the quality of electronic design in the UK. When undertaking PCB design work many of our customers have stated that the design engineer must be qualified to CID level and we are delighted to be working with IPC in delivering this important professional development qualification.”

Quadra Solutions Ltd house one of the largest Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Design Bureaus in the UK supporting local, national and international companies with a vast range of PCB design services. The intensive CID and CID+ programmes demonstrate a real commitment to excellence and offer delegates the opportunity to further develop and enhance their skills, while also ensuring and confirming the quality of the design work being undertaken.
