Prima di tutto una mano, poi una porta che si apre su di un patio, a Marrakech. Luci e ombre, piante tropicali e una piscina. Irena ostenta l’audacia di un cappello, la regalità di un anello. I colori del giorno. Ancora le mani, sono le mani che parlano: toccano le piante, l’acqua, si ritirano in un gesto che esprime sconnessione.
Cammina, piedi a terra. Si distende e il volto si schiude sfoggiando la sua maschera migliore: serenità. Guarda al cielo da un cortile. Irena si accorge se qualcuno non la ama. Un turbante di ciglia intorno al viso, che battendo fanno arretrare il giorno, in un comando, dietro a un fascio di luce che le fende il volto.
Calano ombre su ombre – rigore. Un ruggito dal silenzio e si tuffa in acqua, ha paura. Di nuovo il giorno, della notte è rimasto un gatto.
È Il bacio della pantera: il bacio della paura. La modella non recita, sa come mostrare il suo contegno. Impossibile riuscire a ingannare un gatto, perché sente tutto. Sa far calare la notte in un battito di ciglia. Sa fa tornare il giorno con un ghigno. Non dovresti mai ingannare una paura. Se ti spaventa, ti appartiene.

In Marrakech, at first sight is a hand, then a door that opens onto a patio. Lights and shadows, tropical plants and a pool. Irena is flaunting the boldness of a hat, the regality of a ring. Daytime colors. The hands appear once again and it is these hands that do the talking. They touch the plants, the water and shrink back in a gesture that implies disconnection.
She walks, her feet on the ground; she stretches and her face shows its best mask: peacefulness. She gazes at the sky from a courtyard. Irena can tell when she is unloved. The lashes create a turban around the face, when they blink, the day ends, as if it is was given a command, following a ray of light that slits her face. Shadows strictly fall in shadows. From the silence comes a roar which makes her jump in the water in fear. The day is back, only a cat is left of the night.
It is the kiss of a panther: the kiss of fear. The model is not acting, she knows how to keep her self control. Regardless it is impossible to fool a cat as a cat feels everything. It can make the night fall in the blink of an eye, the day come back with a grin. You should never fool fear: if it scares you it is a part of you.

A Day of Wonder is the title of the short film projected in preview on the September the 26th, during the presentation of the brand’s Spring/Summer 2016 collection, inspired by the noir film Cat People (1942).
