Lambert, Edwards & Associates (LE&A), a leading Midwest public and investor relations firm, with offices in Detroit, Grand Rapids and Lansing, MI seeks a senior level (8+ years of experience to join its fast growing Detroit, MI office. Ideal candidates must be able to provide strategic level client work, manage a team of PR professionals, and become instrumental in growing the firm’s SE Michigan office. An emphasis will be placed on leadership and team building skills.
REQUIRED CAPABILITIES AND POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide strategic client counsel and manage complex client relationships
Must be able to develop, lead and implement the key tactical elements of a PR plan
Ability to think creatively and execute creative programming for clients that is relevant to their business
Excellent verbal and written communications skills; sharp attention to detail
Ability to manage and provide day-to-day guidance of a client relationship PR team
Firm grasp of the local, regional and national business/media environments, online media and communities, and ability to understand the applicable trades
Must have a track record of using PR to drive business results
Social media savvy and understanding of the tools and tactics to building online communities and coverage
Ability to identify and develop new business opportunities and lead new business initiatives
Commitment to investing time in networking and proactively promoting the firm’s services within the SE MI marketplace
Willingness to become involved in community activities and provide pro-bono and non-profit work
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s or higher degree in Public Relations/Corporate Communications
8 plus years’ experience in Public Relations and/or related field
Excellent verbal/written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
Credentials as a leader and enthusiastic practitioner/manager who follows trends and best practices in PR and integrated marketing
Agency experience required
