Did you not get enough coffee this morning? Feeling just a *little* bit off or on edge and in need of something to shake you up? We have something for you, something that will pep you up and probably freak you out in the best way possible: it’s the latest music video from Chicago/LA’s Sich Mang. Imagine if you stuck your head inside of a VHS player as it played a suburban white male self-defense video and you caused the tracking to get all fucked up: that’s this video—and then some. Hold on to your hats, kids.

The video is a ridiculous, hysterically funny mashing of found films thanks to Everything Is Terrible!‘s Commodore Gilgamesh, the person behind the film’s direction. The source material are these really wannabe macho, totally laughable weapons videos for a brand called Cold Steel which features dad types and young men showing off how swords and knives work (all while wearing office clothes because of course). Gilgamesh interpret’s Sich Mang’s ghetto experimental bass sound—a brand of music that is all about forceful repetition and booty bouncing until your body goes into shock—into a cyclic, repeating, bat shit insane looping and mirroring of big men stabbing things.

If you’ve watched any of EIT!’s videos, you know how much they love a good warped, cheesy video: this does not disappoint. The pairing of Gilgamesh and Sich Mang makes you think that there probably couldn’t have been a better musician/director pairing better than this. The song even warps the words “Cold Steel” at some point: the two were made for each other. Watch the video below and, fair warning, this will wake you the F up if you are still sleepy today. Happy Friday! (Don’t stab anything.)
