Hey Beauties!
L'Oreal has long been one of my absolute favourite affordable brands. They consistently release new innovative products in every aspect of beauty from their makeup and skincare to their haircare and of course their nail polishes.
Their classic Colour Riche nail polishes come in an incredibly vast range of shades and finishes and they are always up to date with the latest trends in colour theory and pattern. Now L'Oreal is taking it one step further with a brand new collection that has over 10 years of research under it's belt.
The new Le Vernis À L'Huile collection is the first of it's kind in what will probably be the next big hit in nails - oil based polish. L'Oreal spent a decade developing their exclusive oil-in-colour technology that infuses beautiful rich polishes with various oils (such as Rose & Argan) for stronger, bolder and shinier nails.
Packaging & The Brush
The Le Vernis À L'Huile collection is absolutely breathtaking. The polishes come in stunning crystallized glass bottles with a metallic gold cap. They not only look luxurious and expensive but they feel heavy and sturdy much like their high end counterparts. The design is simple and minimalistic but is also very sophisticated.
Each polish comes equipped with a pretty incredible brush, one that might be the best brush I've ever used. The signature Flexor brush is a flexible wand with three defined sections (much like the design on the bottle) that help to slow gravity so when polish flows down the brush it is slowed down giving you greater control during application. This prevents too much polish being applied at once as well as dripping, streaking and overall mess.
The brush features 440 individual hairs that combine to create a thick, wide paddle shape with a rounded tip. The shape of the brush and the specially designed wand help to apply the ideal amount of polish and disperse it evenly over the surface of the nail.

Formula & Shade Range
The Le Vernis À L'Huile polishes combine colour and care with their unique formula that offers rich, bold pigmentation and a forgiving finish that is durable and won't stain your nails.
The infusion of Rose, Lotus Bloom, Camelia & Argan oils help the polishes apply & layer beautifully with no drag for a fast, flawless finish. They all possess deep, vibrant colour saturation that applies almost fully opaque in just one coat and dries with a serious amount of shine. They also have a really lovely subtle rose scent that appears as they dry and after.
The line features 25 different shades (including a top coat) that vary from beautiful nudes and pinks to rich reds and purples with a few unique showstoppers thrown in. This line has just about every shade you could possibly imagine with all of classic staples and the newest trendsetters as well.
All of the shades have fun, cheeky French names and are separated into colour families.

L'Oreal's Le Vernis À L'Huile nail polishes are truly a thing of beauty. From the bottle and the brush to the formula they are really incredible. They provide really bold, opaque coverage in a swipe or two and the brush really helps to make application a breeze. The finished product has an intense shine and a strength that can't be beat.
I could not recommend them more. The L'Oreal Le Vernis À L'Huile polishes retail for $9.99 CAD and are available at Shoppers Drug Mart, Rexall, Ulta and more.
