Bust out the LED string lights and pretend winter is actually coming: The holiday shopping season is upon us. Whether you’re looking to gift the interior design aficionados on your list or treat your midcentury manse to a makeover, there’s a pop-up or market happening just for you.
Behold, a roundup of the LA’s coolest festive shopping events. These street fairs and artisanal marketplaces—plus an art bazaar at one of our city’s favorite architectural landmarks—will feature local vendors. We’ll update this list as more events land in our inbox, so keep your eye on this space for additions.

Row DTLA Holiday Collective
The development formerly known as Alameda Square is now Row DTLA, where a handful of fashionable home decor, clothing, and accessory brands are popping up for the gift-giving season. You’ll find Capsule’s affordable modern furnishings (plus textiles and decor designed in collaboration with local talents), globally-minded home finds from Local & Lejos, stylish garden goods at Rolling Greens, and architecturally-inspired tableware by NotNeutral (they’re the firm behind Row’s 5,000-space parking structure and Intelligentsia’s coffee cups).
In addition, pick up luxurious sweets by Milla Chocolates, travel essentials at Away, watches by Daniel Wellington, minimalist womenswear at Modern Citizen, luxe leather tech cases and bags by This Is Ground, illustrations by @thecartorialist, and bicycles from Tokyobike.

Unique LA
The LA-bred, Etsy-minded event invades Downtown’s California Market Center for a full weekend of indie retail therapy. From art prints and lighting for decking out your walls and halls to stationery and clever giftables for the design-obsessed folks on your list, Unique LA’s got your small business-focused shopping covered. Bring the kids (12 and under get in for free) for DIY activities and play zones, plus enjoy free haircuts, holiday portraits, and a host of other festive goings-ons. Tickets are $15 for the entire weekend and are available online or at the door.

MidcenturyLA Holiday Market
Deck out your pad like a modern-day Peggy Olson or Don Draper at the midcentury modern mecca’s first holiday bazaar, which promises artful wares and decor from As of Now, modern menswear from Wittmore, sleek clothing and accessories from Voyager, goods from Object-Matter Ceramics, and many more local boutiques and craftsfolk. There will also be an exclusive showcase of British Studio Pottery and a flash sale on seating and lounge chairs, should your living room need a party-ready upgrade. Bonus: Vino and light bites will also be on hand.

Mercantile
Already a hit in Nashville and Detroit, this socially-conscious marketplace takes over NELA with full roster of home goods, clothing, and accessories vendors. On top of shopping bohemian modern (and mindfully-sourced) decor from e-shop Rose & Fitzgerald, ethical furnishings by The Citizenry, and more, expect cocktails, food, and a live performance by The Shadowboxers. Tickets are $25 in advance online or $30 at the door.

Barnsdall Art Park Fundraiser
If your holiday shopping requirements include supporting local artists and being within arm’s reach of an LA architectural wonder, then this charitable sale on the Hollyhock House’s grounds is where it’s at. On top of shopping handmade jewelry, ceramics, original photography, stationery, and more locally-made art by Barnsdall Art Center students and faculty, there’ll be wine, java, sugary treats (Sweet Lady Jane! Sprinkles Cupcakes!), and more to fuel your gift shopping binge. An hourly raffle starting at 11 a.m. also promises a ton of giftable goodies, including Disneyland Park Hopper tickets and gift cards to LA’s favorite spots (tickets are available for $5 or 5 for $20 here).

Fashion Mamas x Kids Fashion Fair Pop-Up
This one’s for all of the stylish tots on your good list. Cool LA-based mom group Fashion Mamas—which debuted its seasonal shopping event at The Grove over a year-and-a-half ago—is bringing a handful of indie children’s clothing labels to buzzy lifestyle center Platform. Expect a lineup of hands-on happenings for littles and their big ones, like a baby dance party and kid-friendly crafting.

Abbot Kinney Holiday Stroll
The gentrification elves are trucking in real, live snow to the Venice shopping stretch, where kids can enjoy sledding and face painting and grown-ups can shop deals and presents along the fashionable block. Participating businesses include G2 Gallery, which is hosting a pop-in of local artists and donating a portion of proceeds to Animal Wellness Foundation.

Odd Nights at One Santa Fe
The folks behind roaming indie fair Odd Market is taking over luxury lifestyle center One Santa Fe in the Arts District for an evening installment of its popular al fresco shopping event. Find vintage vendors, fashion and food trucks, artists, and local talents galore, plus a full bar and a kids play area. (Dogs are cool here, too.)

Renegade Craft Fair
Offering all sorts of giftable totchkes from over 275 artists, designers, and makers, this weekend-long (and pet-friendly) marketplace has everything for the DIY-minded people on your list. From handcrafted modern wood furnishings and planters for boho abodes to artsy ceramic jewelry and artisanal beauty products, you’d be hard-pressed to head home empty-handed.

Odd Market in Santa Monica
After shredding ice beneath the sun at Downtown Santa Monica’s skating rink, head across the street for food and fashion trucks, vintage vendors, and more at Odd Market’s westside outpost. Not into crossing the 405? Find the artisanal marketplace at DTLA’s The Bloc the following week.

Odd Market at The Bloc
Same rundown, different anti-mall setting for Odd Market’s Downtown event, which takes place at the recently renovated (and now roofless) The Bloc. Expect the same roster of cool, local vendors hawking everything from collectibles and small-bath apothecary products to handmade clothing and home goods.
