YUMA, Ariz. – More than 80 Arizona companies have 26,000 openings this month. Each of these employers is looking to fill at least 100 jobs.
Target Corporation is adding positions across the state, including Yuma.
CVS Health is hiring for their pharmacies and retail centers across the state, even in Yuma County.
Chipotle is looking to fill crew member positions, salaried mangers and corporate support staff.
“We look for 13 characteristics in our employees that we believe cannot be taught. Some of those traits include respectful, hospitable, high energy and ambitious,” is what a Chipotle spokesperson said.
When interviewing a new hire, Chipotle managers involve everyone on the team to look for these qualities to decide whether or not someone is going to be a good fit for their team.
Chili’s in Yuma is hiring for front of house, quality assurance and to-go servers. We spoke to the manager of Chili’s in Yuma on what they look for when hiring their next superstar.
Chili’s Manager Robert Macharrie said, “We want those people who come to work who want to shine and want to make a difference, while have fun doing that. We will set them up for that path of success, however they want to do it.”
Macharrie says they will promote a team member to manager or bartender if that’s their goal within the company.
