Description
The Factory Operative is someone who works within a factory in which products are manufactured. Basic tasks involve packaging, operating machinery, quality control or processing.
Standard protocol regarding health and safety policies and procedures are required. Candidates are expected to posses’ knowledge of the products being manufactured in the factory of work. An understanding of health and safety legislation is an asset. Good timekeeping is essential with this job.
Factory or production workers are required to manufacture parts and goods for different companies and industries. Duties of these workers are done in the production line, assembling goods or using machinery for other tasks.
Factory workers usually perform many of the following tasks:
Assembly of Log Cabin parts
Use of machinery and power tools
Picking of Log Cabin components
Packing the products ready for despatch to our customers
Use of forklift trucks.
Assembling goods.
Cleaning work areas.
Monitoring production process.
Grading batches of raw materials.
Other factory duties
Skills
Experience of working in a similar environment is an advantage.
Experience of using wood cutting and power tools an advantage.
Being flexible, proactive and team player.
Being able to follow instructions.
Having good eyesight, colour vision asnd suitable fitness level.
The salary is £7 per hour with at least 3 years experience and is based in Tuxford, Nottinghamshire NG22 0PQ and Parry Business Park and Sutton-on-Trent, Newark, NG23 6QX
