*__*_*POSITION SUMMARY:*_

The Active Directory (AD) ESM Systems Engineer III provides engineering and management support for all AD enterprise systems. This will include, but is not limited to replication, monitoring, systems health and Tier II & III troubleshooting. The position will mentor Systems Engineers and Administrators, and be the primary support for problem escalation, reporting directly to the section team lead.

MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:*_

1. Provides network tier 0/1 POC and problem resolution services for all AOR post/camp/station (PCS) and provide all information related to reliability and availability of all resources.

2. Provides operational status data used in the development of a theater level Network Common Relevant Operational Picture (NETCROP) and provides SWACC with regional operations capabilities.

3. Provides troubleshooting support for critical core Active Directory (AD) servers in support of the SWACC O&M responsibilities.

4. Perform necessary hands-on maintenance of AD assets.

5. Ensure non-critical member servers provided by the installation meet the minimum server requirements to join the enterprise.

6. Maintain systems performance and perform proactive Active Directory health monitoring.

7. Maintain installation of critical Enterprise Servers and Applications as well as ensure minimal downtime and quicker Mean-Time to Resolve (MTTR).

8. Identify and apply security measures necessary to prevent unauthorized individuals any physical access to enterprise resources located within the AOR.

9. Detect, report, and mitigate physical security compromises of any system according to established guidance, policy, and regulation.

10. Provide services needed according to local and higher headquarters guidance.

11. Performs other duties as required.

_***MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:*_
*Education/Certifications:*One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
*
Education Requirements:*Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology (IT) or related field.

*Experience:*At least five (5) years of practical experience working with Windows Server, Active
Directory, and NetOps tools. Individual must have a good understanding of networking security
principles and their application to an Active Directory Environment.

*Certifications:*This position requires candidates to adhere to DoD 8570.01-M. All candidates
are required to maintain at least one (1) baseline certification and one (1) computing
environment (CE) certification. The authorized certifications for this job title are listed as follows:

2. The work environment will be 95% indoor and 5% outdoor. The outdoor work environment may exceed temperatures 100º F. Candidate must be able to physically withstand extreme heat.
