Integrated Entry Control/Base Defense Logistician (Job Number:414746)
*Description:*
The Hardware Integration & Logistics Supply Chain Service Line of SAIC is currently seeking two Logisticians to support its Integrated Entry Control/Base Defense (IEC/BD) operations in Kuwait.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Logisticians will receive, inventory, and assist government transfer of IEC/BD property from CONUS property book to OCONUS Theater Provided Equipment (TPE) property book accounts. Logisticians will assist government arranging for and transporting equipment from major Hubs to Forward Operating Bases (FOB) in high-risk areas currently operated by US military forces. Logisticians can expect to be deployed 6 months or longer to a major Hub in Kuwait. Logisticians may be required to deploy to austere FOBs throughout Kuwait to assist inventory and property transfer actions. Logisticians will be required to assist the movement of material shipments from CONUS into theater.
*Qualifications:*
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
- An additional 6 years of related experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree
- Six (6) years of related Force Protection, Logistics, or Technical experience is required. Direct Army logistical experience is a plus.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Familiar with IEC/BD equipment
- Demonstrated skills completing and managing DA Forms 2062 and 3161
- Knowledge of COLTS software a plus
- Demonstrated written communications skills completing logistical reports
- Sound verbal communications skills to articulate clearly and accurately equipment logistical challenges, issues, and problems, and an effective, efficient path forward
- Able to remain thoroughly cognizant of evolving IEC/BD logistical requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft Office to include Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
DESIRED SKILLS:
- Experience in a combat environment
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:
- Must currently possess a SECRET security clearance
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must meet DoD Height / Weight standards
- Must satisfactorily complete CONUS Replacement Center (CRC) requirements, including medical and dental requirements prior to deployment
- Must be willing to live and work in austere, hostile environment for extended periods of time
