DUTIES
& RESPONSIBILITIES:
FINANCIAL
RETURNS
·
Prepare administration documents required for marketing
(ie: internet listings, advertising, booking of directory advertising)
·
Co-ordinate hotel photography shoots/talent where
required, within budget
·
Assist with promotions
(eg seasonal sales promotions and special events)
·
Maintain collateral and conduct occasional audit
·
Develop hotel gifts and giveaways
·
Monitors awareness of competitor activities and use
information when developing strategies
·
Work in line with business needs
PEOPLE
·
Meets with AAW departments to discuss and
interpret needed lay-out designs/artworks and confer with them and the
Marketing Manager his/her rough sketches and make necessary changes as required
·
Keeps self abreast of emerging technologies in
new media and design programs such as 3D Studio, Photoshop, Quark Express,
Free-Hand Illustrator, Acrobat, Director, Dreamweaver, Flash, etc.)
·
Performs other tasks as delegated by his/her
Line Manager
·
Support human resources and training related
designs and materials as assigned
·
Attend to all telephone, fax, email inquiries in a timely
manner
·
Attend marketing meetings/regional sales and marketing
monthly conference calls
·
Arrange conference calls
·
Assist with direct mail campaigns
·
Maintain filing systems (manual and electronic)
·
Attend key meetings
·
Represent the Hotel at cocktail parties/dinners where
appropriate
·
Deal with telephone/fax/email inquiries and
·
Coordinate journalist familiarizations/visiting
journalist programs and site inspections as required
·
Co-ordinate generic IHG merchandise and hotel brand
·
Co-ordinate hotel brand standards collateral
·
Assist in developing and organizes promotional
activities, coordinates with departments concerned
·
Coordinates all activities with the Marketing and Sales
Manager
·
Maintains clipping files pertaining to the hotel(s) based
on daily perusal of the media and provides same to General Manager, other
departments, other hotels, corporate public relations, as appropriate
·
Maintains mailing list/contact file
·
Maintains hotel photo file
·
Liaises with Human Resource Manager on matters affecting
corporate image
·
Builds profile within local market place through
attendance at various events and local market place
·
Co-ordinates hotel photography when required

Coordinates guest lists and invitations for VIP
receptions, luncheons, dinners, etc.
RESPONSIBLE
BUSINESS
·
Creates computer-aided or manual designs,
concepts and sample lay-outs based on knowledge of layout principles and
esthetic design concepts including familiarity with types and sizes of
production materials such as stickers, signage, plastic, etc.
·
Develops and proofreads graphics and photograph
lay-outs for product illustrations, AAW-required logos/designs and internet
websites
·
Determines sizes and arrangements of
illustrative material copy, and selects appropriate style and size types
·
Uses computer software to draw new images and
assemble final lay-outs for printer like charts, illustrations and other
artworks, flyers, images, flashes, etc.
·
Undertake other duties and tasks as assigned
supporting the Marketing / sales and other departments upon requests.

Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS
& REQUIREMENTS:

Preferably with a
University degree
·
At least two years
in Hotel & Restaurants capacity
·
Excellent English
skill, both oral and written
·
Knowledge of basic
accounting is desirable
·
Presentable and a
team player
·
Demonstrated
ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects
highly on the hotel, the brand and the Company.
·
Problem solving
and organizational abilities.
·
Good writing
skills
·
Proficient in the
use of Microsoft Office
