Happy Monday, all! Today marks Day 2 of the Holiday Card Series. I’m using some new stamps and dies from Mama Elephant on today’s card. First, I stamped the lambs and knitted items from the Wooly Winter stamp set in Antique Linen Distress Ink in order to do some no-line watercoloring. Then I painted the images using other Distress Ink colors. The images were then die-cut using the coordinating dies.
I die cut a window in the front of some Desert Storm cardstock and then stamped the large “Merry Christmas” greeting from the Merry Christmas Wishes stamp set on the inside of the card. I used VersaMark ink to make it subtle.
The long one-line greeting on the front of the card was made by bending the clear stamp around a circle die until it matched the shape of the circle. Then I stamped and embossed the greeting with Hero Arts white embossing powder.
To finish off the window on the card, I die cut a clear acetate circle and adhered it on the inside of the card. This allowed me to adhere the watercolored images using foam tape over the top. The clothes line or garland string was made using white embroidery floss.
