KTM is now offering £99 deposit and 0% interest finance packages on its range of petrol and electric-powered Freeride off-road bikes.

With its Freeride range, launched in 2013, KTM has demonstrated that off-road riding is incredibly accessible and doesn’t require needing the fitness of an athlete and the bike control and balance of a circus artist. These are still serious bikes, but with an emphasis on fun without the single-minded, race-winning focus of the EXC enduro bikes or SX motocross machines.

Making the decision to ‘Freeride’ even more possible, KTM UK has release two finance options on the petrol-propelled 350 four-stroke and 250 R two-stroke models as well as the electric-powered E-SX and E-XC variants.

Bikes can be purchased in either a two or three-year repayment plan; both requiring just a £99 deposit. The two-year option features 0% interest, with monthly repayments starting from £225. The three-year choice carries 2.5% APR, but with lower monthly repayments, starting as little as £155.78 per month for the two-stroke Freeride 250 R.

The petrol-powered Freerides (350 £6,4990 and 250 R £5,499) are ultra-lightweight bikes designed to go anywhere and make any ride a fun-filled adventure; be it riding across the madness of a bustling city or taking the bike off the back of the campervan and exploring a scenic trail.

They differ from other enduro machines with a very low weight of under 100kg to permit extremely easy handling. This, combined with a low seat-height and pronounced user-friendly ergonomics, ensures the rider stays on top of things even on the most difficult trails – keeping just as cool in rough terrain as on narrow single trails and wide gravel tracks.

Time and again, KTM has set new standards in off-road sports with innovative technology and with its electric Freerides, the Austrian manufacturer has proved it is serious about alternative powertrains and ensuring the future of off-road riding in terms of combating noise and pollution problems.

The Freeride E-SX (£9,999) is the first electric high performance motocross bike in the world and is joined by the E-XC (£10,299) - the first street legal, electric enduro bike. Both machines boast a brushless, permanent magnet synchronous motor, powered by a lithium-ion battery with a 2.6 kWh capacity. Perfectly matched to the complete package, an intelligent ECU ensures that the machine provides a maximum of riding enjoyment with a spontaneous but easily controllable response.

The high torque electric motor only needs a single drive ratio and no gearbox, so you neither have to clutch nor shift. At 42 Nm of torque, available basically from zero rpm in typical electric motor fashion, and riders can select from three different ‘power’ maps.
