Arsy Vartanian is a foodie and Paleo diet success story herself. Her blog Rubies and Radishes (formerly 30 Days of Paleo) features tasty and inventive meals for those Paleo obsessed. As a young teen, she had an instinct that her parent’s health problems – type 2 diabetes, obesity, and high blood pressure – were directly linked to diet. It wasn’t until 2008 when she started Crossfit and discovered the Paleo diet, that she became headache free for the first time in years, and felt full of energy.

My Review:
Rex and I are looking for a way to become healthier and lose weight. We have talked about a number of different ways we could go but we are looking at a Paleo diet. When I received the Paleo Slow Cooker Cookbook – I was excited to look through it and pick out a couple recipes to make. The first thing I made was the Slow-Cooker Chicken Pesto with Macadamia Nuts. It was so good. Lots of flavor and very moist. Another dish I made was Traditional Beef Bourguignon. It too was so good and I love coming home and having my meal all ready to eat. I love how most of the recipes had pictures and were easy to make. I think this would be a great cookbook even if you are not on a special diet the recipes are great!
