MORGAN HILL (BCN) — Police in Morgan Hill said they arrested a man on Sunday on suspicion of carrying a replica firearm.

At 12:25 a.m. officers said they received a call about a person with a gun in the 100 block of Cosmo Avenue.

When they arrived on the scene, officers said they spotted the suspect, Timothy Camarillo, shoving his hand into his waistband.

Camarillo, 19, ignored police commands to remove his hands from his pants and walked away from the officers, according to police.

Police said they located the suspect as he attempted to hide behind a building and immediately arrested him.

The suspect appeared to be extremely intoxicated, according to police.

After searching the area where Camarillo was apprehended, officers reported finding a black air soft gun with the orange tip removed.

Officers transported Camarillo to the Santa Clara County Jail and booked him for public intoxication, obstruction of justice and brandishing a replica firearm in public, police said.
