Well Megafest is over and if you are like me you feel a little tired and “very” renewed! This was my first Megafest experience and was it a experience I will never forget.
I wasn’t sure if I would get the opportunity to go, and my main wish was to attend “Oprah’s Life Class”. I asked anyone I could for that extra ticket since my budget was very tight, and I can’t begin to tell you how excited I was when a friend called me to say he had two tickets and a parking pass for me to attend. Not only was it two tickets it was also in the Platinum Suite! Talk about feeling blessed, I felt like I had hit the lottery!
To walk into the American Airlines Center and see 20,000 people all coming together to be uplifted was inspiring. Talk about empowerment! Bishop TD Jakes and Oprah together was oh soooo good.
One of the things that Bishop said that stuck with me was “when you hold on to your history it can be at the expense of your destiny”. I started to think about who in my life I had not forgiven and if this was blocking any blessing’s in my life. Do you know I came up with a few names. (lol). I have some work to do.
After attending more empowerment sessions, hosting at the Family Expo and meeting some wonderful people from all over the country, I am proud to say my Megafest was the very best! By the way that episode is scheduled to air on OWN next Sunday. We do BIG things in Texas!!!
My favorite Phrases were…Bishop TD Jakes – When you hold on to your history it can be at the expense of your destiny.
Tony Gaskins – People with “basic vision” can’t see “satellite vision”
Pastor Joes Osteen – Wake up everyday expecting something great to happen!
