XL Recordings/Columbia; Parkwood/ColumbiaThis year's Grammy Awards will take place February 12, 2017, but most people already predicting that it'll be a showdown between two of the biggest and most acclaimed albums of the past year: Adele's 25 and Beyonce's Lemonade.  The guy in charge of the Grammys telecast agrees with that prediction -- to a point.

"I think most people are right, I think that's certainly gonna be part of it," says Grammys executive producer Ken Ehrlich.  "But with the Grammys, you never know."

He adds, "Our deadline is the end of September, so there's still three months or so of music that's gonna be released, and you just don't know. I mean, it's been a pretty interesting year already."

However, Ehrlich tells ABC Radio, "There's no question that [with] the impact that both Adele and Beyonce have had with new releases, it sets up to be a pretty good race. And we're hopeful that we'll see both of 'em on stage in February."

Adele's already won Album of the Year once, for 21, and she's won 10 Grammys total. Beyonce has won 20 Grammys, and is the most nominated woman in Grammy history --  but she's never won Album of the Year.  She's been nominated twice before, but lost, once to Taylor Swift, and once to alt-rocker Beck.  The nominations will be announced at some point in December.

A poll a few months ago at Billboard.com asking people to predict who would win found it pretty close: Lemonade received 47.12% of the vote, while 25 received 43.48%.
