Kevin Mazur/WireImageA day after she wowed the Billboard Music Awards audience with a literally high-flying performance of her song "Just Like Fire," from the upcoming film Alice Through the Looking Glass, Pink appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live!
She admitted that her daughter Willow seemed to be excited about being in the video for the song, though she was "very disappointed" that she wasn't in the actual movie.
"But we had Mr. Depp's stunt double in the video," Pink said, noting Willow "developed quite a crush."
Incidentally, Pink let slip that she had quite a crush on the real Depp, who she deliberately "dodged" when he appeared with Kimmel earlier. "I can't talk [around him]" she said. "Him and Michael Keaton."
Pink explained that her husband forced her to meet Depp during a chance encounter at a record store, and it didn't go well. "I went up to him and an I said, 'Hey, just saw Alice, and I'm doing a song,'" Pink recalled. "And he's like, 'You saw Alice Cooper?' And I was like, 'No, no, no, no, I saw the movie Alice...anyway, you were great.' And he goes, 'Oh, I thought you were telling me you saw Alice Cooper.'
And then he goes, 'You just keep on pushing on.' And I was like, 'Oh, for God's sake.'"
However, more embarrassment was in store, as during an anecdote about writing songs for films, Depp came back onto the stage, and Pink's neck went beet red and though laughing, she was visibly flustered. "Can we get Michael Keaton out here?" Kimmel asked with a laugh.
Depp, who has a habit of kissing Kimmel on the lips, did so again, and the host wanted Depp to share the love. The actor politely declined, seeming to think Pink's husband Carey Hart was going to shoot him, to which Pink said, "No, he'll shoot ME!"
The exchange ended with the pair giving each other a hug, and Pink telling the audience, which was egging her on: "I hate you," something she repeated to Kimmel. "This is the worst day ever," she joked.
Despite being physically hot by the meeting, Pink took to Kimmel's outdoor stage and performed "Just Like Fire," and closed by covering "White Rabbit," the Alice in Wonderland-inspired Jefferson Airplane song.
