Join us for a Halloween festival of extraordinary proportion! “Boo to You” on October 25th from 1 pm to 5 pm will feature plenty for the entire family with face painting, pony rides, a delightfully spooky haunted trail, bounce houses, renaissance acts, the League of Mascots, a corn maze, magicians, pumpkin patch and of course trick-or-treating! The best part- it’s an event benefitting Kosair Kids® hosted by a Kosair Kid®.
NEW this year there will be a Costume Contest presented by Pro Turf who is donating three Amazon® Kindle Fires for the top boy, girl and adult costume. A costume parade will take place at 3 p.m. Winners will be announced immediately following.
In it’s third year, “Boo to You” has been a way for Addie and the Childers family to give back. Addie is a sweet and charming 8 year-old girl who loves dolls, coloring books and playing dress-up. She also has cerebral palsy affecting her balance, coordination and speech. Walking can be a challenge, but with the right help and adaptive equipment, she’s determined to live life to the fullest. Her parents turned to Kosair Charities for help several times when insurance would not cover the treatment and equipment that Addie needed.
“What Kosair Charities has done for Addie and our family is above and beyond,” Addie’s father Dustin says.
The event has outgrown the Childers backyard and found a new home. The 2014 “Boo to You” will make its debut at the Kentucky Renaissance Fair in Eminence, KY to continue to raise funds to support Kosair Charities and to help other Kosair Kids® like Addie.
