Within the lineup of advanced, innovative
new
Toyota sedans, coupes, and SUVs there are many examples of green
or electric vehicles, like the Prius
c. The Koons Tysons Toyoya staff is
invariably impressed with the progress Toyota makes with each passing year, and so it
came as no surprise to us the MIT Technology Review
honored the brand with a spot on its list of the 50 Most Disruptive Companies. Now,
you Vienna area drivers may see this as a sort of backhanded
compliment, however, it's really a good thing.

The idea behind the list is that the companies on
it are incredibly influential, and are at the forefront of their respective
industries. In other words, the cutting-edge automobiles the Japanese automaker
produces, along with its Toyota
parts, are forcing other automotive industry outfits to keep
up.

The expansive hybrid lineup of the brand was one of
the most complimented areas of the company's strategy, especially the new
Prius Plug-In Hybrid, that's seen as something of an
iconoclastic offering. As one of just two auto brands on the list, the award
is a particularly sweet one.
