It was worth the wait – and it was worth the money.

There’s a tricky tightrope to walk with a live show, straddling a wire between re-creating the tracks we know by heart and putting something fresh into songs that have been sung, for the most part, across five decades.

The Eagles pulled it off in spades with their Glendale ‘History Of The Eagles’ tour stop.

With some of the best live harmonies ever heard, they performed a set list of 23 classics plus 4 encores.

It was obvious to everyone in the audience that Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmit, who at one time stated they would reunite “when hell freezes over” have the differences that split the group in 1980 firmly in the past.  Since reuniting 20 years ago they have continued to show why they are not only one of the best bands on record, but in live performance too.

Wednesday night’s performance put an exclamation point on that statement.

After shows in Anaheim, San Diego, and Fresno, The Eagles will conclude this leg of the tour in Vegas and two dates in Texas.

Now I wanna go home and watch the ‘History Of The Eagles’ DVD knowing it pales in comparison to what was seen at the show!

They were THAT good!
