During the presentation ceremony of Eastern Region Export Excellence Awards 2012-13 organaised by Federation of Indian Export organisations (FIEO) State finance Minister Dr. Amit Mitra gave the number of export done in last year. Export from west Bengal stood at US $ 10.5 Billion and the share of west Bengal in India’s exports was 3.4% in 2013-14 against 3.1% in 2012-13, he informed. He remarked baout keeping the focus upon to increase amount to US $ 20 Billion. In Non MSME sector National Aluminium Company Ltd, Rohit Ferro Tech Ltd, Nagreeka Exports Ltd, Mortex(India), Utkarsh Tubes & Pipes Ltd,In MSME sector Balasore Alloys Ltd,Linc Pen & Plastics Ltd,Hind Suter Shellac Pvt Ltd, UGI Engineering Works Pvt Ltd. won the prestigious Gold Award.
Silver Award won by Tata Steel Ltd,Gayson & Company Pvt Ltd,Philips Carbon Black Ltd, Impex Ferro Tech Ltd,Crescent Foundry Co. Pvt Ltd in Non-MSME Sector and Krishna Agrotech Limited, Sunita Impex Pvt Ltd, Ambootia Tea Exports Pvt Ltd, Mallcom(India) Ltd in MSME Sector.
