User Rating:

Ek Paheli Leela is an upcoming Sunny Leone and Jay Bhanushali starrer musical drama. The music album of the movie has been composed by various artists such as Tony Kakkar, Meet Brothers Anjjan, Uzair Jaswal, but with its nine tracks, the album fails to give us any chart-busters and almost all the songs are low on recall value.

Desi Look - Ek Paheli Leela Music Review

It is extremely sad that music composers today are running out of originality. Every other song and in fact at times even their own renditions sound the same and Desi Look is a classic case of that. The song has been sung by Kanika Kapoor who made Baby Doll and Lovely famous. And now with Desi Look, she does the same again. This song sounds exactly like Lovely and I wonder why composers, Meet Brothers found no similarity while coming up with it.

Tere Bin Nahi Laage (Male) - Ek Paheli Leela Music Review

Tere Bin Nahi Laage is a romantic number sung and composed by Pakistani singer Uzair Jaswal. The song is one of his old compositions which he revamps in this film. It is a typical soft romantic number which is high on the ‘feel good’ factor. This is one of the best songs from the album.

Tere Bin Nahi Laage (Female) - Ek Paheli Leela Music Review

There is also a female version to this song. Tulsi Kumar croons it and makes it even more sweeter than the original. Although out of the two versions, the male version is much enjoyable.

Saiyaan Superstar - Ek Paheli Leela Music Review

Saiyaan Superstar may sound funky but the song in itself does not have much to offer. It is upbeat and starts off well but does not maintain the same level of exuberance, thus creating a lack of interest. It seems like a forced attempt to add more oomph to the album and even though Sunny Leone may do it on-screen, as an audio track it lacks the quality to shine any further.

Khuda Bhi - Ek Paheli Leela Music Review

Khuda Bhi sung by Mohit Chauhan is another romantic number in the film. It has been sung by Mohit Chauhan and after ‘Tere Bin Nahi Laage’, this is the only song worth listening to in this entire album. It is slow and the musical arrangements are quite decent.

Glamorous Ankhiyaan - Ek Paheli Leela Music Review

Trying to blend a Rajasthani folk song into a pop number is the worst thing to do and Glamorous Ankhiyaan does exactly that. It starts off as a folk number but does not maintain the same and further with the lyrics of Glamorous Ankhiyaan which do not blend at all, the song just misses its entire meaning. The only time you will actually listen to this song is if you watch this film.

Main Hoon Deewana Tera - Ek Paheli Leela Music Review

Meet Brothers Anjjan seem to have some difficulty in coming up with original tracks. If copying their own songs wasn’t enough, the composers now take up the task of reprising already composed ones. The newest of their attempt was Sonu Nigam’s famed track ‘Deewana Tera’. Unfortunately, even a singer like Arijit Singh couldn’t re-create a Sonu Nigam magic. Anyone who has heard the original song will not like this revamped version of it.

Dhol Baaje - Ek Paheli Leela Music Review

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s Dhol Baaje is one of the most popular Dandiya numbers from Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. The Gujarati folk song gets a new flavour in this film and it is not as enjoyable. Monali Thakur croons this one but her voice lacks the power to give it the much required vibrancy. The original song is far better than this attempt at making it more peppier.

Ek Do Teen Chaar - Ek Paheli Leela Music Review

Ek Do Teen Chaar is a party number that is one of the better ones from the album. Sung by Tony Kakkar and Neha Kakkar, the song is energetic and has the potential to become a chartbuster if it is promoted aggressively. It has been composed by Tony Kakkar and is certainly a song you can listen to from the album.

The Last Word - Ek Paheli Leela Music Review

The music album of Ek Paheli Leela is not exactly a hit one. It has only certain songs that are worth listening but overall, the album comes as a disappointment mainly because of its repetitive nature. In spite of having various artists working on the album, they fail to create an entertaining album. I am going with a 2/5 for this album.
