SAAB refers to a Swedish automobile brand that is sold in many parts of the world including the US, and many countries in Europe among others. SAAB automobiles are known luxury or premium brands in the auto industry. From its humble beginnings back in 1945, SAAB cars have become popular in many countries with its premium image intact. Many customers and car enthusiasts have wondered though regarding the quick depreciation value of SAABs once they are rolled out from showrooms.

For some car experts, SAABs depreciate their value too quickly because of the simple reason that they are highly overpriced. By the time they are sold as second-hand units, their values are expected to plunge more than its competitors. The quick depreciation is simply an alignment to what it’s selling price should be and not actually linked to the car’s reliability issues. Some people agree on the over-pricing of SAABs when they are sold as brand new but also consider reliability as among the factors that contribute to its quick depreciation. The SAAB brand is simply not known to produce the safest and most reliable cars and many people believe that this will definitely affect the pricing in the second-hand markets.

There are also people who point out that SAABs depreciate their value too quickly because there isn’t much demand for premium cars in the second-hand or third-hand market. SAABs are known to produce premium and luxury vehicles and so the pricing for previously-owned units is expected to be lower. Some experts also point out to SAAB’s involvement with General Motors in the past. Part of SAAB’s history is its ownership by GM back in the late 1980s up to 2010. For these experts, GM brands as a whole are known to depreciate their value quickly and this is the main reason why SAABs also lose their value quickly.Similar Posts:
